 
'A Fighting Chance' Doco (feat. Unkle Ho music)
Unkle Ho's music is on an SBS doco this Wednesday Jan 30th 8pm called 'A Fighting Chance'. He has written a new track for the title sequence and the doco also features songs from his two albums. The doco is about Nermin Sabanovich, a champion boxer in his Bosnian homeland. After escaping from his war torn country, he settles in Adelaide with his family. While working his day job with Indigenous communities, Nermin also starts training for an Australian title - his family is not happy as he has not fought for 10 years. He is also 42 and fighting boxers half his age. This doco is very impressive, Nermin is a very likeable character and the music ain't bad either!

Circus Maximus nominated for Limelight Awards 2007
So the Unkle has started to infiltrate the world of Classical and Jazz musics with this nomination. Limelight is a magazine put out by ABC, for these awards there are categories such as Best Orchestral Performance, Best Chamber Music Performance and high art stuff like that. Unkle is in the running for Best World Music Achievement along with dudes like Joseph Tawadros (dope Oud player) and Zulya and the Children of the Underground. To give him much needed credibility in the classical scene you can vote here.

New Album
Yes its true. after coming back from China, Unkle Ho has knuckled down and finished his 2nd album. It is called "Circus Maximus" and there will be 11 new genre defying songs. Unkle has sampled lots more vinyl for this album, however the main surprises are the fantastic musicians that he has recorded. Unkle wishes that he could play double bass, clarinet, harp, guzheng, trumpet, flute and electric guitar, instead some formidable musos have done that for him.
Vocal contributions include fellow Herd bandmate Jane Tyrrell featuring on her first full length song as vocalist. The best dressed Eastern European 3 years running, Mikelangelo (of Black Sea Gentlemen crew) also sings and plays clarinet on an uplifting song about his village burning and enemies gloating called "On My Way Home".
